My friends and I have come up here for our annual guy's weekend for 9 years running. The chalet can easily house 14 of us during the day with us taking the newly renovated cabins to sleep in at night. It has never dissapointed, whether we are enjoying the spectacular view from the deck, soaking in the hot tub or playing around of golf at one of the nearby courses. The Pender Harbour Resort and Marina is our favorite destination each year.

The kayaking is great! I loved it! Lots of seals/starfish at the islands. The Resort is right on edge of the bay and the water is super warm. There is a pool, but I would have loved it if it was better maintained, the water tasted strange and there was spiders at the steps along with dead buds at the bottom of the pool. I stayed in a little house thing, it was very nice and was close to everything in the resort. I would recommend this place to any of my friends, just because it's so pretty and the Resort is really quite nice, my only real gripe would be that pool, it's warm though.

You can't beat the location from a beauty perspective. Right on the water, nestled in the trees and the hosts were amazing. The facility is great and the grounds are very well kept. Prices to rent the motor boats and kayaks are very reasonable too. We stayed in two different cabins during our stay due to availability. We were in #7 for the first night which has just been renovated...me and the kids gave mom the high-five as soon as we entered it as she had made the reservations. View from the deck is right over the water. Cottages are arranged so that you get some decent privacy on the decks..very well thought out. We moved to cabin #10 for the remainder of our stay which is right beside the Chalet (the largest of the cabins and can accommodate a number of guests). #10 was a little older but the deck and hot tub were amazing. The shower was a little small and the single bed and the queen in the same bedroom was a little odd. We were travelling with teenagers so they got the bedroom (with the queen and the single) and mom and dad slept on the pull out in the living room. The pull out has seen better days, but we put the mattress on the floor and that gave us a comfortable sleep. The only caution I would give is that if you are next door to the chalet, keep in mind there will be a lot of people there and requisite late night noise can be a problem. I introduced myself to the family in there when they arrived, so when I had to tell them at 11:45 pm to "take the party inside", they were gracious and accommodating and moved inside very apologetically. Roads to get there are pretty windy so make sure you drive with the people in the back seat in mind. Based on the owners, the location and the value, we'll be heading back for sure next year.

All in all, a great place to stay if you're on the sunshine coast.

A great family location for light camping or cabinning. The small pool is perfect for the little ones, the cabins, yurts and campgrounds are well maintained and the shop offers some essentials for those of us who forget to pack a few things. It has laundry, hot showers you can buy time in at a reasonable rate, and clean washrooms. There's also an open field for horseshoes, throwing some bacci balls or other light sporting. The marina seems well appointed though I'm no mariner. We did rent the 30hp boat that seated 5. This was well worth the experience as the local waterways are both calm and beautiful. For my children's first nautical adventure, it was quite pleasant. Our group went for a SCUBA dive and true to the stories of diving in the Pacific North West there was a dearth of wildlife and good dive options to choose from.
